On Jan 23, 1943 the B-17 “Beats Me!?” crashed just outside the town of Pluvigner, France during a mission that was targeting the German U-Boat Pens in Lorient, France. The local group of the National Le Souvenir Francais honors the crewmen who were killed on that day each year. This being the 75th Anniversary, the ceremony was scheduled at a time when more participants could attend. Post 157 had 5 attendees who traveled to France and took part in the ceremonies.
